ClassicBlackIl fischietto FOX40 Classic è il fischietto per antonomasia.
Personalmente è il primissimo fischietto con cui ho iniziato ad arbitrare e che ho tenuto in quasi tutte le sue colorazioni sino a qualche anno fa.
Un po' per coinvolgimento personale (grazie a questo sito), un po' per l'evoluzione della FOX40, ho poi incominciato a usare modelli diversi. Appena uscito il Dolfin, ricordo che la voglia di diversità era tanta che di fatto sostituii al Classic quest'ultimo modello che nonostante la forma strana, fischiava come e forse anche più del Classic. Faceva poi figoCool avere un fischietto diverso da tutti gli altri Smile
Abbiamo sempre avuto una gran richiesta anche del fratello del classic, il CMG, tuttavia, noto che la grande maggioranza rimane ancora affezionata a questo modello nonostante ve ne siano altri più potenti e fors'anche più comodi per l'uso.

Come già detto, siamo orgogliosi di essere tra i pochissimi rivenditori al mondo di questo storico produttore (già attivo dal 1880 con il mitico Metropolitan Police Whistle)!
Perché scegliere Acme?
Beh, innanzi tutto per distinguersi! I loro modelli sono pressochè introvabili e farete invidia ai vostri colleghi che rimarranno senza parole quando vedranno che avete un fischietto senza pallina, diverso dalla famosa FOX!
Estetica a parte, seppur molto particolare ed accattivante, il loro suono non ha nulla da invidiare al più forte modello della FOX.
I due prodotti di punta sono il Cyclone888 ed il Tornado2000. Non vi è molta differenza di intensità, direi che cambia soprattutto il design del modello.
Seguono, a ruota (rectius: a fischio), il Tornado622 ed il TornadoMini636, questi ultimi ugualmente con altissima intensità di suono (seppur leggermente più bassa degli altri), e di dimensioni e stile più sobri.
Gli altri modelli dell'Acme sono maggiormente adatti ad altri scopi non propri dell'arbitraggio.
Tutti i modelli sopra citati hanno un'ampia gamma di colori disponibili!

LogoTestQuesto è il primo di una serie di articoli con i quali vorremmo dare un contributo più specifico e migliore rispetto ai prodotti che in primis usiamo (quali arbitri) e, poi, vendiamo.

In quanto utilizzatori, vorremmo commentare più da vicino alcuni dei prodotti (l'ambizione è arrivare a tutti...) per accogliere anche i commenti di chi ci legge ed aprire un confronto.

Ricordo, la prima volta che ci spingemmo in questa avventura nell'acquistare i fischietti oltreoceano, conoscevamo solamente i Classic. Tutti gli altri modelli ci erano completamente sconosciuti (per lo più anche la varietà di colori che non sapevamo nemmeno esistessero...). La nostra prima domanda fu: ma che differenza c'è tra questo modello e quest'altro? Sarà adatto alle nostre esigenze di arbitri? Anche in inglese trovammo pochissime risposte per non dire nulla. Vorremmo con questa serie di articoli cercare di colmare quanto sopra.

Tralasciando l'analisi più specifica a successivi articoli, possiamo innanzi tutto dire che alla FOX va riconosciuto il grande merito di aver eliminato la famosa "pallina". A chi non fosse nota la storia che incomincia a divenire legenda, può leggere questi interessanti articoli: Storia del FOX40, L'ideatore del FOX40.

Ma quale fischietto è adatto a chi?

Beh, la risposta non può essere così assolutista: possiamo affermare che coloro i quali non hanno gran interesse a fischiare in maniera ripetuta, repentina e con grande intensità possono tranquillamente affidarsi a cari vecchi fischietti c.d. BALILLA. Ne abbiamo un'ampia gamma: (BalillaMetallo, BalillaPlastica). Il loro funzionamento è molto semplice e sono molto economici! Consigliati per grandi manifestazioni, ma anche per vigili urbani, polizia, carabinieri, in generale forze dell'ordine ed anche per i cari capi stazione ed in generale i dipendenti delle ferrovie pronti a far partire in orario i nostri treni!

Un fischietto a nostro avviso davvero innovativo che si pone a metà strada tra quanto sopra e quanto diremo di qui a brevissimo è il Pearl. Questo fischietto non ha la pallina, ma ha un suono molto simile ai balilla. Lo consigliamo a quei giudici di gara che vogliono, per esempio, distinguere il proprio fischio da quello dei colleghi. Per esempio, nel basket è ottimo per gli ufficiali di campo. Tale fischietto, trova tuttavia la sua efficiente ed ottimale applicazione anche per tutti quei casi in cui vi sia bisogno di un buon compromesso prezzo/qualità. Abbiamo riscontrato un ottimo utilizzo nei giubbetti salvagente: la mancanza di pallina lo fa fischiare anche in acqua, ma a costi abbordabili per grosse quantità.

Detto quanto sopra, qui si apre la categoria dei fischietti che potremmo definire "professionali". La loro caratteristica è quella di avere un'intensità di fischio molto elevata, l'assenza della pallina e prestazioni eccelse. Ciò non toglie che gli utenti sopra citati possano approcciarsi anche a questi fischi, certo è che sconsigliamo vivamente agli arbitri di fare l'inverso ovvero di dedicarsi alle prime due categorie suddette. Approfondiremo in seguito i singoli modelli, anticipando fin da ora che i due grandi produttori sono la canadese FOX40 e la neoritrovata britannica ACME (per la quale ultima siamo tra i pochissimi rivenditori al mondo!).

A quanto sopra si aggiunga a disposizione dei nostri clienti la più vasta scelta di cordini da polso e collo con una varietà imbarazzante di modelli e colori, nonché tutto ciò che serve per domare i giocatori dal punto di vista della disciplina in campo con ampia scelta di cartellini e taccuini.

Fischietto.Com, non disdegna poi, tutta una serie di ulteriori accessori per gli arbitri quali paradenti, lavagne per allenatori e non, cronometri, laser pen e pennarelli FOX, tazze, trofei, spille, portachiavi, misura tacchetti, ma anche fischietti per cani, per poliziotti con nostalgia dell'Inghilterra ovvero per marinai. A semplice richiesta saremo ben lieti di aumentare la nostra già vastissima gamma di prodotti.

Feedback on the NEW Sharx!

We just returned from our trip backpacking through the Sierra Madre Mountains. We tested the Sharx whistle through forests, on mountain passes and along loud rushing rivers and falls. The whistle is incredible; its sound carries easily over a mile. I highly recommend covering your ears when you blow it. The first time I used it my ears rang for  several minutes from the intense sound. The sound is also easily localizeable, meaning you instantly know what direction it is coming from. In search and rescue operations this feature is crucial. Thank  you for letting me test this fantastic device. I will never go hiking or backpacking without it!

Feedback on the NEW Sonik Blast!

These Sonik Blast whistles are dynamite! I've used them in my basketball games and they do stand out a lot more than the regular Fox 40 Classic as far as sound penetration. I can't wait to use them for football next year in the big stadiums that we work. They will be really noticeable and everyone will able to hear them. Those are really nice lanyards and everyone is asking me about them!

There is NO doubt whatsoever - utterly no question that the Sonik Blast is the absolute winner. It is truly a vast improvement over the Fox 40 Classic, and beats all the others [whistles] hands down. There is a certain "secondary" harmonic, or tone that the Sonik Blast whistle emits, which somehow makes the blast more shrill, more noticeable, and farther-carrying than the others (a great thing!) This was especially noticeable when we left the street, and blew the whistles on the canyon-side of our house (I live up in Hollywood Hills, a few thousand feet from the Hollywood Sign). Much to my surprise and delight, there was an enormous amount of echo and "bounce" that was produced by the Sonik Blast when we blew it into these canyons. The sound carried nicely for a few seconds after we stopped blowing it - it just "hung" up there in the air, really echoing for a while. This is a great emergency or rescue whistle.

Another virtue of the Sonik Blast is that you do NOT have to over-blow this whistle! Fairly effortless to produce a shrill, piercing sound.

I am a master falconer and free-fly hawks, falcons and other birds, and will use the whistle to recall birds that have travelled over great distances. The Sonik Blast is an amazing whistle and should be of value in multiple uses (sports, bird-calling, rescue & more).

What does an official look for in a whistle? Obviously if you get a large crowd you need a whistle that will stop the game -- especially in a high school game. We don't have the luxury of where the game clock stops when you blow into a whistle that is connected to a microphone.

Another thing officials wlll like about the Fox 40 Sonik Blast is that it is easy to blow giving a lot more loud noise with out much effort at all. When you are running up and down the floor an easier to blow whistle will make it a lot better in conditions like that. Also we look for comfort in holding it in the mouth. The Sonik Blast has a very nice lip to it.

Fox 40 has really worked hard to getting this whistle to be right I think they have done a fabulous job with it and I let them know that. There is no question that by far this is the best manufactured whistle in the entire country. To me it sounds double of the old whistle. The sound is much more high pitched with more of a tone to it and louder.

The difference is like wow. There is really no comparison!

 I wanted to thank you for sending me the Sonik Blast to try out. As I officiate 3 sports, I wanted to give it a try for all 3 before I gave you any feedback. I am glad that the packaging has been changed for what I believe is for the better - it is simple and effective. The Blast is excellent when compared to the original Sonik. I felt that it no longer required any extra effort from me to make it give a loud sharp blast. Very easy to use and it did not matter which end was facing up while I whistled infractions. The sound of the whistle went from a shrill to a definite BLAST of sound that I feel works equally well on the field or in a gym.
